LOUISVILLE — A riotous production of Shakespeare’s "The Comedy of Errors" will be performed by the Lafayette Community Players and The Louisville Arts and Humanities Council at the newly refurbished Steinbaugh Pavilion in Louisville through June 27. Mayhem abounds and pandemonium ensues as two sets of identical twins, separated at birth by a shipwreck, happen upon the same place at the same time. Is it serendipity or insanity? Antipholus and Dromio are puzzled because everywhere they go, it appears they’ve already been there, making for twice the fun and double the laughter. Director Madge Montgomery, designer Jackie Tisinai, and musician Rick Tisinai have collaborated to set the classic farce in a 1920s American circus. Showtimes are 6:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The Steinbaugh Pavilion, an open air facility located in downtown Louisville, is at 824 Front Street. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children. Sets of twins receive a special discount. For reservations, call 303-604-3841 or visit lcptheater.org. |
