By French Davis, The Yellow Scene Submitted for your approval: A small town band of merry performers find that they cannot break away from the popular show they put on year after year. This is the Lafayette Zone. Last fall, the Lafayette Community Players put on their most popular show ever—shattering box office records of the group’s first seven years. Inundated with requests to revive the work, LCP is bringing back its Season TZ Greetings: a Twilight Zone Parody. Inspired by the ’60s series noir, the play includes versions of “Night of The Meek,” “Number Twelve Looks Just Like You,” and “Five Characters In Search Of An Exit.” Although not quite as creepy as the original episodes, they promise to be much funnier. The 7:30pm show runs Dec. 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, & 18 (2pm, Dec. 12) at the Mary Miller Theater (300 E. Simpson St. in Lafayette). Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors, and children under 12 are $5. Call 303.604.3841 for tickets. |
