LATE-BREAKING NEWS

Lafayette Community Players Becomes Theater Company of Lafayette

Why did we change our name?

When Lafayette Community Players began in 1996, it was an informal, modest endeavor. For the first few years, inexperienced but enthusiastic theater aficionados put on a few shows, but we had no set season, no collaborations with other groups, no classics and no new plays.

In the interim, LCP grew up. The theater now attracts the attention of the media, the theater community and many professional theater artists. Productions have received critical acclaim, and sell-out audiences are common.

We needed a new name to reflect the integral role we play in the Lafayette cultural and artistic community. Which is why LCP has changed its name to Theater Company of Lafayette.

We're still located at Lafayette's Mary Miller Theater, and we still have the same reservations number: 720-209-2154. But now you'll find us at www.tclstage.org.

We'll continue to showcase plays that both entertain and enlighten. We look forward to seeing you soon,

Madge Montgomery
